What "Know Your Customer" means

Know Your Customer (KYC) is the standard process by which a financial service confirms that a client is a real, identifiable person, and that the information provided at registration is accurate.

In practice, KYC at Solid Warranture involves us gathering and authenticating a limited range of essential information about you: your full legal name, your birth date, your country where you reside, your communication method and the payment source you plan to utilize. We validate the information you entered in the registration form against the information displayed in the files you submit.

What we do not do

We do not ask for your online banking password, your full card PIN, or remote access to your device. No member of our team will ever request those. Any message that does is not from us and should be reported through the abuse form.

Process

The verification steps

  1. 01

    Register

Create the account with your real legal name, date of birth, country of residence, email and phone number. Details that do not match your documents are the most common cause of delay.

  2. 02

    Confirm contact details

Authenticate your email location and, if required, your cellular number. This validates that these channels of communication are under your authority.

  3. 03

    Upload your identity document

Upload the pages that carry your photograph and personal data. Some checks include a short liveness or selfie step to confirm the document belongs to the person holding it.

  4. 04

    Upload proof of address

Upload a recent qualifying document in your name at the address on file.

  5. 05

    Confirm the payment method

Provide proof of the instrument you will use to fund and to receive withdrawals.

  6. 06

    Screening and review

The approval division examines your submission, carries out necessary criminal and regulatory checks, and either greenlight the profile or seek revisions.

  7. 07

    Confirmation

You receive a notification once the account status changes. The current status is always visible in the verification area of your account.

Troubleshooting

Why a check can be rejected

A rejection is usually a document problem, not a judgement about you. In most cases you can simply re-upload and the account is approved on the second attempt.

ReasonHow to fix it
Image blurred, cropped or glare-coveredRe-shoot in daylight, flat on a dark surface, all four corners visible.
Document expiredUpload a currently valid document.
Identity or birth date does not align with the registered profileCorrect the account details, or explain a legal name change with supporting proof.
Residence verification outdated or not registered to youProvide a recent qualifying document issued to you at your registered address.
Payment method belongs to a third partyUse an instrument in your own name - third-party funding is not accepted.
File edited, cropped to hide data, or a screenshot of a screenProvide an unchanged authentic document or file.
Residence in an excluded jurisdictionThe profile cannot be activated; consult our registration details page for further context.

Should a determination be ambiguous, reach out to customer service for an explanation. If applicable under regulations, we shall explain.

Timing

How long a check takes

Majority of thorough filings are processed in hours or several working days. Documents needing additional assessment, language translation or further documentation may require extended processing.

Turnaround duration depends on submission quantity, the standard of file submissions and whether heightened examination protocols are triggered. The expected review duration applicable to your profile, in addition to the present progress of every file, is accessible in your profile dashboard - rely on that displayed timeline rather than any other stated timeline.

  • Legible, comprehensive, unaltered uploads receive the quickest turnaround.
  • Submissions made beyond regular business times are set aside until the subsequent business day.
  • Heightened examination, when applicable, lengthens processing and is communicated directly to you.
Your side

Your obligations

  • Supply truthful, recent and thorough information, and maintain its accuracy.
  • Use only your own funds and your own payment instruments - never someone else's.
  • Keep one account only, and keep your credentials private.
  • Answer to information demands by the designated deadline in the communication.
  • Tell us promptly if you change country of residence, legal name or payment method.
  • Report any suspected unauthorised access to your account immediately.

Submitting falsified or altered documents is a serious matter. It leads to closure of the account and, where applicable law requires, notification of the competent authority.

Definition

What "anti-money laundering" means

Anti-money laundering (AML) refers to the internal procedures a financial institution applies to safeguard its system from facilitating criminal proceeds, supporting prohibited transactions, or concealing the genuine provenance of money.

AML controls are broader than a one-off identity check. They cover risk classification of new accounts, sanctions and politically-exposed-person screening, limits on unusual funding patterns, record keeping, internal escalation of suspicious activity and, where the applicable law requires it, reporting to the competent authority.

In situations where AML requirements and a customer request are at odds, AML requirements supersede. This may result in a postponed transaction, a demand for supporting documentation, or an account limitation until the issue is settled.

Documents

Which documents are accepted

We ask for up to three categories of document. Files should be colour images or PDFs, fully in frame, unedited, with all four corners and all text legible.

1. Identity document

A government-issued document that shows your photograph, full name, date of birth, document number and expiry date. Commonly accepted types are a passport, a national identity card, or a driving licence where it is issued as a photographic identity document. The document must be valid and not expired.

2. Proof of address

A current document, typically produced in recent months, displaying your identity and your home address as recorded in your account. Frequent samples include a utilities bill, a financial institution or credit card statement, a regional or administrative tax letter, or a notice from a governmental body. Postal delivery boxes and addresses in another person's name are prohibited.

3. Proof of payment method

Proof that the payment source is yours. For a credit or debit card, this typically means a picture of the card displaying your identity, the initial six and terminal four numbers and the expiration date, with all other numbers and the CVV obscured.

For a bank transfer, this means a record or notification under your identity showing the account reference. For a digital payment service, a capture of the service profile page showing your identity and the account reference.

Formats and file size

Upload limits, accepted file types and any additional document requests are shown in the verification area of your account. Documents in a language other than the account language may require a translation; the compliance team will tell you if that applies.

Rationale

Why verification is required

  1. 01

    Legal obligation

Services that hold or transmit client funds are generally required to identify their clients before providing the service. This is not optional and applies to every account without exception.

  2. 02

    Protecting your money

Verification anchors an account to a single confirmed individual. It substantially increases protection against illegal account access, and it guarantees that funds can solely be returned to a payment source verified as yours.

  3. 03

    Keeping the platform clean

Screening keeps sanctioned parties and anonymous shell activity off the platform, which protects every other client using it.

  4. 04

    Faster payouts later

An account verified up front does not have to stop for checks at withdrawal time, which is when delays are least welcome.

Ongoing controls

Ongoing transaction monitoring

Verification is not a one-time event. Accounts and transactions are monitored for as long as the relationship lasts.

What is monitored

Funding and withdrawal patterns, changes of payment instrument, changes of country or contact details, activity that does not match the profile you gave at sign-up, and any activity flagged by our screening tools.

What can happen as a result

  • A request for refreshed documents or an explanation of the source of funds.
  • A suspension of a single transfer during assessment.
  • Adjustment of the limits published in your account.
  • Restriction or closure of the account where the law requires it.

Records

Identification data and transaction records are retained for the period required by applicable law after the relationship ends, and are handled in line with our Privacy Policy. In certain circumstances the law prevents us from telling a client that a report has been made.

Support

Where to ask questions

If anything on this page is unclear, or you want to know the exact status of your own verification, ask us before uploading again.

Who reviews my documents?

A trained compliance reviewer. Files are stored on restricted systems, and access is limited to staff who need it for the check.

Can I start before I am verified?

You can register and explore the account, but funding, trading and withdrawals depend on the verification status published in your account.

Do I have to verify again later?

It is feasible. Documentation lapses, residences shift and recurrent verification is standard in AML procedures. We shall reach out if recertification is necessary.

How do I contact the compliance team?

Use the contact route on our contact page and reference "KYC" or "account verification" in your inquiry, including the registered email on your profile. Refrain from transmitting document records via unprotected means - place them through the profile upload feature rather.

Licenses & regulatory information

Before you upload

Get verified once, cleanly

Ninety per cent of delays come from three things: a blurred photo, an out-of-date address document, and a payment method in someone else's name. Fix those and most checks pass first time.

Need help with a document?

Our assistance team can specify precisely which file was refused and the reason why.

  • Check the verification area of your account first.
  • Then contact support with your registered email address.
